Chapter 16

Brandon awoke from a peaceful sleep with a groggy mind…and a very sore ass. Fuck.

He groaned, opened one eye to glance at the red numbers of the alarm clock—six fifteen. Ugh, no wonder I’m tired, but why does my butt hurt? He gingerly turned onto his side while trying to fully awake and remember what he’d done last night to make his ass hurt so bad. He had his answer when a large hand landed on his waist, pulling him back against a hard, masculine body. Suddenly he was fully alert and cognizant.

Simon. Shit, he fucked me—thoroughly—last night.

“Morning,” a deep voice greeted and he felt a kiss press onto his shoulder blade. Simon fit their bodies together so tightly that Brandon became keenly aware of the man’s impressive morning erection nestling between his ass cheeks.

“Morning,” he shyly responded—which was ridiculous considering everything they’d done to each other last night. Pulling out of the loose embrace he forced himself to turn over to stare at the handsome man who was giving him a sleepy smile. He is so gorgeous and he just makes me—

“Hey,”—Simon stroked a finger across one of Brandon’s eyebrows—“how do you feel?”

Brandon cleared his throat at the tender question and assured, “I’m good.”

“Not sore?”

“A little bit,” Brandon admitted. He felt embarrassed alluding to last night’s activities.

Simon reached behind him to rub a palm over one of his ass cheeks and offered, “A hot bath will help.”

“Okay, I’ll…um…I’ll do that,” Brandon said, trying to keep from squirming against Simon’s inflaming hand. Damn, this guy just has to look at me and I’m ready to go.

“Want me to join you?” Simon leaned down and sucked on his neck. Shit that feels good. “I’ll scrub your back if you scrub mine.”

“I’m more of a shower guy,” Brandon said pushing on Simon’s shoulder to create some space between them before he humped the man—not like that would be a bad thing, but…

“What’s wrong?” Simon asked, plopping his head on one of his hands, while the fingers of his other hand, lightly trailed down Brandon’s chest.

“Nothing.” Brandon lied. In the darkness what they’d done had been perfect, but now in the cold light of day, he felt…exposed and, hell, he didn’t know how he should be acting.

“Don’t go glacial on me, Blondie,” Simon firmly ordered.

“I’m not,” he disagreed, protectively folding his arms over his naked chest, dislodging Simon’s hand from his tingling flesh.

“Yeah, you are.” Simon leaned over him, and not to be deterred, placed a palm on his cheek as he lowered his head closer. Green eyes bore into his for a few penetrating seconds before Simon kissed him, long, deep and thoroughly, not stopping until Brandon pulled his mouth away. At his actions, Simon’s frown deepened. “Just because it’s morning, you don’t have to be ashamed of what we did last night.”

“I’m not ashamed,” Brandon denied. And he wasn’t. Not really.

“Yeah, right.” Simon stared at him like he could see straight through him and then made it known that he could when he informed, “I’m not buying that.
